ME

DIRECTOR  .  PRODUCER  .  CREATIVE

My name is Waheed, I’m a freelance filmmaker in the U.S. working as a producer and director. I live and work in Memphis, Tennessee, where I attended school and was exposed to the rare and rich Fine Arts Program at Germantown high, there I garnered a number of awards including the first National Student Emmy Award at the age of 15 (2003).

Shortly after, I undertook producing a variety of narrative work including Home Town Glory, a feature length documentary about a group of heroic high school students in the 1970’s who fought fires to save their community. In 2010, I produced and directed Scorned, a short film that was accepted into the Nashville International Film Festival. During the festival, the distribution rights were sold to Ouat! Media.

I also went on to serve a five-year tenure with FOX Television, where I was appointed Creative Services Director, launching promotional and marketing campaigns for TV shows such as The Following and New Girl.

In my work adventures I also ventured into producing a variety of music videos for the likes of Rascal Flatts, to TV commercials and social media content for Zappos, Cheerios, GoDaddy, and Google. I produced a variety of one-hour TV specials fronted by Reba McEntire and Jennifer Nettles airing on CMT. Since then, I have won additional Emmy awards and secured multiple Addy awards.

Give me a call for your production needs, I can handle any project all under one roof, and deliver turnkey projects, with the best creatives fit for your job. Without the overhead of a huge office space and many employees, I have the freedom of hiring the best talent there is, providing the best equipment available, all the while passing on the savings cost to you.
