“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
~ Einstein said in all of his wisdom.
February 27, 2015 was my last day in my corporate/broadcast career. I spent 5 years of my life working very hard in a very fulfilling field, I learned a lot, taught a lot, gave seminars, received seminars, met lots of people, got introduced to lots of people. The one thing I immensely miss is working daily with all of my staff that I grew to love and share my creative vision with.
When my journey started in 2010, I thought it would last only a year, but life moves fast when you are having fun and doing good work. Like all good things, it must come to an end, I got to a point where I needed to move away from my comfort zone, and dive into the deep end.
It is a big risk to leave a very high position in a very robust and reputable company, it was scary but I am glad that I made my move. It’s been over a month and a half since I left, I took care of some family matters and was lucky enough to land a really cool gig. I’ll write a bit more about it in the next post.
Until then, if you have any questions on how to make the move to freelance, or what it was like, or if you have a job you maybe interested in talking to me about; feel free to drop me a line.
